An ecological sewage treatment plant (Eco- STP) was setup for a 3.5 km nalla in the area. Our work included preliminary survey, where we finalised the site location for the Eco-STP plant. An aquatic plant root-based treated water design was adopted. This easy-to-operate plant has a planted gravel filter-based system, which includes a plastic trap for arresting floating material, and different types of watershed weir for aeration. The results were as per MPCB norms and the treated water is used for domestic as well as farming purposes.

Kondaiwadi village was adopted for development by Spandan Pratishthan. As per our expertise, we took the responsibility of designing a watershed development plan, and conducting watershed and tree surveys. Recommendations for watershed storage structures, such as existing weir (bandhara) silt dredging and nalla widening, were given based on the surveys.

Agrani River Rejuvenation
Khanapur, Maharashtra
This one-of-a-kind project focused on the rejuvenation of an almost dead river. Initiated by Jalbiradari, the project saw involvement of various NGOs, the government as well as common people. Through the contribution of all stakeholders, this river was rejuvenated and now it’s a living and flowing river. Our work on this project included creating a watershed development plan and Eco-STP design. From preliminary watershed surveys, recommendations were given for watershed storage structures, Eco-STP design and site locations.

Sunder Math Seva Samiti
Raigad, Maharashtra
Preservation of a cave and preventing it from further rainwater percolation was the purpose of this project. This cave's has historical significance as it is associated with Shri Samarth Ramdas Swami. Our work in the area included preliminary watershed surveys, on basis of which recommendations were given for geological mapping and storm water management. Suggestions were also given regarding soil crack formation on the land, and reasons for landslides, like rainwater in this case.
